2014 Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarships

Two Programs Available
There are two scholarship programs available. The first is a scholarship for current high school seniors with a projected graduation date of 2014. The second is for post-high school students who are entering or attending an accredited undergraduate, graduate or vocational program.
The high school scholarship will award a first-place prize of $1,500; second-place of $1,000; third-place of $750 and fourth-place of $500. The post-high school scholarship category will award two $1,000 scholarships.
Application Process - Online Entries Only
Applicants must complete the online entry form and write an essay that is no more than 500 words on the following topic:
Financial literacy is now part of Iowa’s Department of Education’s core curriculum.
What are the most important aspects of money management that should be taught when it comes to savings, checking, borrowing or investing for the long term? How can credit unions help you and others with financial education?
Judging will be based on applicants scores for the essay on originality, clarity, meaningful content, accurate presentation of facts, adherence to contest rules, spelling, grammar and punctuation. All scholarship entries become the property of ICUF and will not be returned. The deadline for applications is February 7, 2014.
