Quarterly Staff Column: “Digital Banking Tips”

Account Alerts

Don’t get caught off guard with activity in your accounts! Capitol View’s digital banking offers Account Alerts to help you stay on top of things.
With Account Alerts, you can be notified via text message or email when things change with your account. We offer these alerts for a variety of account activity, such as when your available balance reaches a specific dollar amount, debit card transactions, and you can even receive your daily balance at a specific time of your choosing. This is an excellent way to stay ahead of overdrafts and avoid fees!

You can also opt to have account alerts for security features, including when transfers have been made—or have failed—or when other preferences have changed.

To find Account Alerts, tap on the profile icon to open the dropdown menu and select “Alerts.” Take a look and see which options are best for you!

Secure Messaging

Looking for a safe way to directly contact us at Capitol View? Check your online banking portal for the Secure Messaging feature. Here, you can send messages directly—and safely—to the member services representatives at Capitol View. Any messages you receive from us will be accessible only in online banking, and you will a receive notification via email.

Manage Debit Cards

Have you ever misplaced your debit card on the weekend or outside of our business hours? Rather than growing more anxious as you wait for the credit union to open, you can now use online and mobile banking to temporarily block your debit card! This puts the control in your hands so you can ensure no fraudulent charges happen while you look—and you can easily unblock it when you need.
