Electronic Bill Payment and Presentment Available Now!!!
Tired of writing out the same checks each month, only to find yourself scrambling to the post office to get them mailed in time? Capitol View Credit Union's electronic bill payment and presentment (EBBP) service can help.
With a few clicks of the mouse, you can simultaneously view and pay bills online. Bills appear onscreen and look similar to printed bills you're used to receiving in the mail. The best part--once you've entered whom to pay bills to, you'll never have to enter that information again.
EBBP allows consumers to schedule payments in advance, so bills get paid even when you're on vacation or away on business. Electronic payments are processed in as little as 24 hours to five days. Paper checks, on the other hand, can take an average of 10 days to post.
Other features of EBBP that promise to simplify bill payment include tracking the status of bills and payments anytime, viewing past bills, and the ability to search for specific charges, according to Matt Lewis of Checkfree Corp., based in Norcross, Ga.
If you're worried about security, don't be. Capitol View Credit Union's Web browser has sophisticated encryption that's very secure.
"Electronic payments are safer than paper checks--which may fall into the hands of the wrong person," says Michael Herd, director of public relations for NACHA--The Electronic Payments Association.
"Electronic payments are covered by the Federal Reserve's Regulation E--which protects consumers against fraudulent activities," he adds. "The liability is $0, but reviewing monthly account statements and letting financial institutions know of any fraudulent activities is the consumers' responsibility."
Why not give EBBP a try? Say goodbye to those gummy postage stamps--you won't need them anymore . Click here to get started. Click here for terms and conditions. If you need technical assistance with our bill pay service, please call 1-888-868-5193.
